Hi, I’m Susan Hayse
The Chicago area is my home. I’ve worked in the local nonprofit world for over 20 years. I’ve spent the past 10 years building and running digital fundraising tools like websites, social media presence, email marketing, and brand awareness. I’m a web wrangler.
After many years of working for a religious nonprofit, I’ve launched out on my own with Milkweed and started putting my knowledge and experience to work, helping nonprofits and other businesses who don’t have the resources to hire a big web company or their own internal developer. Take a look at some of the organizations I’ve already been able to help.
I’ve been on the other side of the website-building process, using big development firms to build websites for my organization. It was a time-consuming and frankly harrowing experience.
The most important factor in the process of creating an online presence is that your website developer “gets” your mission and who you are as a nonprofit. It needs to be a collaborative partnership.
I want to understand who you are and who your donors are. Your website can be a place that serves your needs and the needs of your audience. It can be a place of community. Connection with your supporters is the most powerful, important thing you can do to advance your mission.
Most nonprofit organizations are under-staffed and working hard to make a difference. The last thing you need to worry about is how your website is running. If you want to achieve something extraordinary, let your site be my mission.
